Alex Formos with his new book Eurydice in Love 0

A Love Story Unlike Any Other

Alexander Formos wrote his new book Eurydice in Love with great courage, honesty, and soulful clarity. Currently, I’m only on chapter III but I am enjoying his bold and unbelievable story-telling style through the pages. Reading the book provides a perfect little break in my office after seeing my clients and before heading home.

Are There Any Physiological Changes to Hypnosis?

Eight months later, another newly certified hypnotherapist who is also my client reported that after one of our sessions, she had a chain of physiological responses. This video is the answers to her follow-up questions.

It was towards the end of Janet’s fourth hypnotherapy session. We had a few more minutes for her to reorient herself fully and for me to tuck away her file before my next client showed up. As a hypnotherapist trusting her own unconscious mind, I think that’s a very appropriate answer to the question of my practice, including the sound of it.

What Does Confidence Have to Do with Flavour?

Many people I come across understand that many of their issues—whether emotional, mental, behavioural, and perhaps even physical—can come down to a lack of self-confidence. Heather, my new client had just come to see me about her body-image and perceived difficulty in dating when I mentioned she may just lack a little confidence.

“Yes, I know that!” she exclaimed. And then she looked at me innocently, as if she was asking me, “Now what can you do Kemila to bring some confidence to me, through the magic you know that’s called hypnosis?”

Saving Her from Drowning

A new client today asked me, before leaving the office, “Do you always use the same words in your sessions?” After seeing a puzzled look on my face, he explained, “I mean, you used the word God a few times...
