Valentine’s Day is a time of love, a time when people express their love to one another. It can also sometimes be when they reflect on the relationship they have or would like to have. A common question people often ask themselves is “how much am I loved in a relationship?” But is this a useful question? Following are two little stories that that offer some perspective.
Category: Future Lives
Future Life Progression is a hypnosis technique travelling forward in time to see either the future in this life, or a future reincarnation.
“I feel I already know you,” says Britney, as she sits here on the couch in my hypnotherapy room, speaking very calmly, within the first 5 minutes we’ve met.
Britney is addressing the fact that she has read a lot of pages on my website before she contacted me for a series of hypnotherapy sessions.
I am curious. Her presenting issue is anxiety and fear, yet this person who’s sitting right in front of me, is composed, mature, and calm. There’s a natural peaceful energy around her that makes my breath even and thoughts clear. I feel instantly sitting with Britney is an enjoyable thing.
The client was guided to her inner sanctuary, which happened to be outdoors, and watched, on a surface of a quietly flowing river, the reflection of many past lives that she has lived.
The magic water reflected to her, in the greatest clarity, frame by frame, who she has been before – the soul’s journey.
A loner in a cave; an esoteric meditator; a woman giving birth to a dead baby; a civilian in a war scene, possibly a Jew; a herbalist who was deemed as a witch; a psycho murderer full of rage; a native American woman who had the honour to carry the pipe; a clown being abducted by a powerful man; a singer who gave up singing to be a merchant… And a mistreated elephant!
I felt so “back in time” hours after the hypnosis session with Janet. She has left, and I walked around in the room, looking out of the window, the trees, mountains, passing cars. For a long time, I felt that I was coming from the future, visiting the Earth in 2014, which felt unreal yet a strange sense of fun.
Janet’s description of that future life as John was so vivid that I was surely with “him” in those moments, seeing what he saw, feeling what he felt, smelling what he smelt, and tasting what he tasted.
There are a lot of out-of-body experience (or OBE) hypnosis techniques. The one I often use is to feel energy body expanding and contracting. We do it several times until one can expand as big as a city, or a country, and contract as small as a tiny dot. This takes time. With Mark, as he has already built up some trance muscles, we simply lifted up, and floated around.
When Linda came to see me, she had a long laundry list of “symptoms of problems”, and she had a self-directed treatment plan: Past Life Regression.
On our first meeting, I learned her fascination of Past Life Regression and Life Between Lives Regression was formed as a result of reading a series of best-selling books. I asked her if she could choose, which one she would start first – addressing some of the urgent problems such as physiological stress and insomnia; or past life fascination. They might end up at the same place but we don’t know when we start. In stating her current life and work situations, she had tears all over. There we had some clue.
Dorti sent me a very detailed email on her weight history, medical history and compulsive eating behaviour before she came to see me. Reading her email, I felt a little lost in all the information, numbers and stories; however, the email did give me a direction to form more questions during our first meeting. Healthy eating is very important for Dorti. She plans her meals, and can stay with her plans very well during the day, however, in the evenings, she’d go binge on snacks, bread and cheese.
I feel this 1970 movie was made for me when I first saw it. It started right with hypnosis induction. As the scene unfolds, we see it’s a hypnosis class for doctors. There’s a student subject doing demo. While Dr. Marc Chabot, professor of psychiatry, regresses him back in time, a girl in audience is regressed back to 5 years old spontaneously. Daisy Gamble is so hypnotizable that she talks herself into trance again when awakened by Dr. Chabot. Daisy must be every hypnotist’s dream!
