In my earlier practice of hypnotherapy, I remember there were many times that I was surprised at the fact that, when hypnotized, many of my clients could speak words of wisdom, with which came relief, opening, and lightness; yet when they went back to their daily lives, they would forget about their own words and became again that confused and lost person stuck in the complication of their complicated life.
Inner critics want you to get what you want. Sometimes it acts like a stereotyped step-mother, beating you up to get what she thinks you should want.
Living a life, we always want things. And we do not always get what we want. It’s natural. It always has been this way; and it’ll always be this way, no matter when, where and who.
It’s always encouraging and inspiring for me to work with young people. Many young people who came to see me for spiritual regression are very in-tune with their inner being and inner truth. And they make excellent hypnotic subjects. I doubt that these people will ever form some sort of identity with what they believe.
If you cannot be a poet, be the poem.
If you cannot be a dancer, be the dance.
If you cannot be a singer, be the song.
If you cannot be a successful somebody, be the success.
Who are you? Who do you think you are? Who do you pretend to be?
Who are you not?
