Relationship Counselling and Hypnotherapy Couple Therapy

Life is made up of relationships, whether good or bad, passionate or indifferent, moments long or decades short.

Relationships – including couples, marriage, family, and workplace – are facing increasing challenges in modern life. A lot of issues and misunderstandings can be addressed and benefit from counselling sessions. Especially in a couples relationship, it’s so often that each partner’s defences activate the other’s wounds.

Many factors affect the interpersonal relationship. Signs that indicate a need for relationship counselling include poor communication, affairs, living past one another, holding on to outdated beliefs, and acting out negative feelings. Counselling can often help even some of the most challenged relationship.

For example, walking the fine line between caring and controlling, between sharing and blaming is something each couple has to face, develop and work with.

We all come from the desire to care, but overly done, it may appear to the partner as controlling. Sometimes over caring stops a partner’s experiments and journey to learn through their own experiences.

Sharing our own perspectives can appear to the partner that their perspectives are wrong, therefore it may appear as blaming.

Of course, in the couple-ship existence, the choice of words, the tones, the history (meaning we grow, but our partner may get stuck in the interaction with our past self), all play into our interactions.

Needless to say, we all carry our past traumas, past learnings that can serve as limitation in the present. And we can be triggered at a snap of the fingers. When that happens, we can easily play push and pull games, and each partner loses their space.

Then we go to repair mode in a partnership.

Most likely, it is clarity that you are seeking. The guidance that is provided in a supportive and encouraging setting empowers you to restructure your thoughts and emotions. With clarity, you can take a look at what is really going on, instead of what you think is going on, and what you think should go on. So that you can make your choices out of love instead of fear, after finding who the person is at the core level.

My style is non-labeling, nor conceptualizing behaviours or thought patterns. I provide you with a genuine honest look at yourself and others, with clarity, so you start to realize your true freedom in a relationship, and love and appreciate others as they are without attachment.

Very often, a relationship counselling can also offer help and insights into other areas in your life, such as career choices.

Sometimes, as the session flows, we can do hypnosis to access deeper feelings and meanings that are uniquely to you.

For relationship sessions, we don’t need both parties to be present to resolve some issues, yet there are cases that a couple were present in the counselling room. Read a case story here. See how a couple went to a trance together.
