Hypnotherapy and Anger Issues

Hypnotherapy can achieve amazing results for anger management. During hypnosis, you are naturally more relaxed and less skeptical, so positive suggestions from your own rational mind said by a hypnotherapist can sink in so you will see the effects in your day to day life.

Many of us tend to “lose it” from time to time. Perhaps you have tried controlling yourself or holding it in, and that may have caused more problems in a long run. Hypnotherapy helps take the pressure off you in terms of controlling your anger consciously.

Even though normally seen as a negative emotion, anger can be a natural positive expression. Itself is not necessarily harmful or negative. It’s what we do with it that counts. When a person gets aggressive because of anger, it can become harmful or negative. Animals get angry when their space is invaded. We get angry in the moment we observe a child being abused, but those natural expressions normally do not prolong.

There is another type of anger. It is beneath the surface of the awareness in your normal thoughts. Not many rational reasons can  justify it but the anger is felt, surfaced from the deep subconscious mind, in moments you are aware or unaware.

This type of anger may come about for a variety of reasons. Frustration can build up anger. Anything that is unresolved from your past can be buried in the subconscious mind and manifested on the surface level as a feeling of anger. Underneath anger there may hide a tremendous amount of sadness, which is not properly expressed therefore suppressed. In this case anger becomes a secondary emotion. It comes up as some other primary issues are not properly dealt with, the same with guilt, which is anger towards oneself instead of others. Thus anger can be an umbrella symptom, under which there are many different types of conditions. Hypnotherapy is good for anger as it is known to treat core issues on the unconscious mind, therefore it goes beyond simply “managing the anger”. When the conditions are resolved, there will be no reason to be angry, so there may be no need to manage it.

In a safe and secure environment, we can take an honest look at the core issues while the hypnotherapist helps you remain calm, so that you can communicate more effectively.

The number of hypnotherapy sessions can vary but is usually small. From perhaps two to six. This is in contrast to counseling which can have several months worth of sessions. Counseling and hypnotherapy are complimentary so you can do both. Kemila is counselor and a hypnotherapist so you have advantage of working with conscious and unconscious mind during a session.

If you or someone you know is having problems with anger a session of hypnotherapy is a wonderful tool to explore.
